Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Introduction

At Merchland, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number
  • Social Login Information: When you sign in with Google or Facebook — your name, email address, and the provider's unique account identifier (see Section 3)
  • Order Information: Shipping address, billing details, order history
  • Design Content: Images, logos, and designs you upload
  • Communication: Messages and inquiries you send to us

3. Social Login (Google & Facebook)

You can sign in to Merchland using your Google or Facebook account. When you choose to do so, the provider shares a limited set of profile information with us, which we handle as follows:

What we receive

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The provider's unique account identifier (used only to recognise your account on future logins)

We do not receive or store your Google or Facebook password, and we do not retain the OAuth access tokens issued during sign-in.

How we use it

  • To authenticate you and create your Merchland account
  • To link your Google/Facebook sign-in to your Merchland account (matched by email address)
  • For security and fraud prevention, and to provide customer support

How we store and share it

This information is stored with your Merchland account in our secured database. We do not sell it, and we share it only with the service providers described in Section 6 (Information Sharing) or where required by law. Merchland's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

We keep this information for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect a provider at any time from your account settings (which deletes the stored social connection), or delete your entire account, which removes your profile and all linked social connections — except where we are legally required to retain certain records. For step-by-step guidance, see our Data Deletion instructions.

4. Automatically Collected Information

When you access our services, we automatically collect:

  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • IP address and location data
  • Usage data (pages visited, time spent, interactions)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate you and create or link your account (including via Google/Facebook sign-in)
  • Process and fulfill your orders
  • Communicate with you about orders and inquiries
  • Send promotional materials (with your consent)
  • Improve our services and user experience
  • Detect and prevent fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations

6. Information Sharing

We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Shipping carriers, payment processors, cloud services
  • Business Partners: Print and manufacturing partners for order fulfillment
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Social login information is removed when you disconnect the provider or delete your account; order records may be retained for accounting and legal purposes.

9. Your Rights

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data (see our Data Deletion instructions)
